This is the second part of a two part series…if you want more tips, make sure you read Part 1!1. Use social media. Use social media such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to have a conversation with your target market. The average person spends 30 minutes a day using Facebook alone! They are researching brands, chatting with companies and learning about products they want to purchase. If you aren’t there, you have no chance of earning their business. 51% of brand followers on Facebook will purchase that specific brand. The percentage is even higher for Twitter followers at 67%. If your company isn’t using these mediums, you are losing customers.
2. Write articles. Writing articles can seem time consuming and daunting, but since you will be writing about something you are very knowledgeable about and comfortable with, the task will be easier than you think. Writing articles also helps establish you as an expert and it’s a great way to get your message out. You can distribute these articles to online article databases, newspapers or even via email to potential clients.
3.Blog. A blog is the ultimate in establishing yourself as an expert in your field. Clients will come back every day to see what new content you are providing and what they have to learn from you. Blog entries don’t have to be long or complicated. In fact, readers often prefer bulleted or numbered content that is easy to read, digest and implement. Allow readers to subscribe so your daily content is delivered right to their email. It is also important you allow readers to leave comments and chat with each other. This also allows you to gather instant feedback to what you are providing.
While you don’t have to implement all of these strategies in order to market your business, it is important that you choose at least one. I suggest that you pick the one you are most comfortable with and start there. Devote just a few minutes a day to creating content and engaging in conversation with consumers. You will be glad you did! And if you need assistance in implementing any of these strategies, contact Social Ocean Media and we can help you get started!
