We’d like to take a moment during this busy holiday season to honor everyone touched by the events in Newtown. We are just a few miles from the tragedy and it has touched our hearts and our community in ways we could never imagine. We appreciate your patience with us while we have taken time to help those touched in some way.
Many of you have asked what you can do. The United Way does have a fund set up. You can visit their page and make a donation here: https://newtown.uwwesternct.org/
However, in a tough economic time, we know that everyone cannot make a financial donation. And so we are asking you to do something that you can do for free. Please take some time to do one act of kindness for each of the victims lost. This can be as simple as buying a cup of coffee for someone, spending an hour helping your child’s teacher in their classroom, or cleaning a community park. If everyone did this, the world will be a better place. While we cannot begin to understand recent events, we can fight evil by doing good.
Thank you again for your support during this difficult time, and throughout the year. Please take time to enjoy the holidays with your friends and family. Peace.
